Rachel and David - 11.03.07

On November 3rd, Ben and myself were up in Monroe Michigan to cover Rachel and David's wedding. I have to say that I honestly love shooting in downtown Monroe, it offers such a variety of architecture and landscape to act as a backdrop for some dramatic wedding photography. The town really plays into my style and what I aim to create when capture images, a beautiful new couple dropped against rugged landscape. The contrast between the two subjects really allows for some great images. This wedding was an absolute blast to shoot, both Rachel and David were a lot of fun to work with, and the reception venue was absolutely amazing. If you have never heard of Arnaldo's you have to check it out! The food was absolutely amazing, the staff was very friendly, and the setting is perfect for a wedding. The ceiling of this place actually has constellations painted on it, and when the lights dim the "stars" light up creating a really unique lighting effect. You have to see their SLIDESHOW to understand what I am talking about, and you will soon have access to everything on PICTAGE. Below are a couple of my favorites! Enjoy!

Beautiful Images! - I love the one of the groom in the church doorway....and also the bride alone in the center of the dancefloor? Beautiful work!

oops - the groom is with her on the middle of the dance floor - but it's just the way her dress flows that really caught my eye!
