Wow, what a ride it has been folks! We are finally almost finished editing the remaining few weddings from 2010, and we'll be catching up on some long overdue blog posts next. Stay tuned to the blog for more updates, new posts, and hopefully our 2010 Best Of Slideshow! There's still a lot for us to do even though it's the slow season!

If you haven't been following our latest on our Facebook page I wanted to relay some information to all of our blog followers. Last Sunday, October 3rd, my grandfather passed away after a lengthy illness. During the last couple weeks I have been splitting my time between photographing weddings, seniors, and engagements and traveling down to Bellevue to be with my family. Last week we had to cancel several photo sessions, and I am working on getting them rescheduled. Obviously our editing turnaround has increased during this time period, but we are quickly working to get back on track. Your continued patience and understanding is greatly appreciated, and if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to e-mail us.

I will post blogs as soon as we're finished editing, however we will probably forgo assembling slideshows for the weddings until we are completely caught up. Again, your patience is appreciated, and I want to thank all of you who have sent us your condolences.

Angela and Jason - They Do! - 09.04.10

On September 4th we pretty much had our entire team out in the field to cover Angela and Jason's beautiful Nazareth Hall wedding. Nazareth is still one of my favorite places to work, besides being a beautiful building, the grounds provide many awesome backdrops to work with. This wedding was just gorgeous, and Angela couldn't have done a better job assembling a dream team of vendors. We had the good fortune of working with both Aaron Baginski from Showcase Video and Rob from Decorative Sound on this one, and when we get together, we know how to rock out a wedding. Angela and Jason chose to do a reveal prior to their wedding to allow us a great opportunity to capture as many photographs before the ceremony as possible, which I always highly recommend. The extra time allowed for us to get a ton of amazing images set against a gorgeous blue sky and white puffy clouds. Their ceremony was held down in the Grotto, and couldn't have turned out better. Afterwards, we finished up the evening in Cadet West, and grabbed some awesome night images of the bride and groom outside of Nazareth. I have so many favorites from this wedding, that it is hard for me to pick out just a few to post. Young Engagement - 08.27.10

Downtown Toledo never ceases to amaze me. I've been shooting around the downtown area for over 5 years now, and I am always finding awesome new areas to work with. When I headed downtown for Katie's engagement session I ended up taking a back way into the Erie Street Market when I drove by an amazing new spot. I just had to head over their and photograph their engagement session, so that's exactly what we did! Now I just need to convince some seniors to check this place out. Anyways, check out my favorites below!

Baby Addison - 08.23.10

It appears that I got ahead of myself with the blogging and missed a few sessions! So I want to play some more catchup. On August 23rd I had the absolute pleasure of photographing a gorgeous newborn for a former co-worker. I have to be honest, newborn photos are more of Nichole's thing, but I figured I could give it a shot. Other than my own kids, I've never really had an opportunity to work with little ones, but I think this session turned out beautifully. Nichole has decided to take our baby business a little more seriously as well, and has invested in some new portrait props and backdrops. If anyone is interested in setting up a newborn session, let me know! We're running some awesome specials to help build the portfolio!

Blake and Darcie -- They Do!! -- 08.28.10

On August 28th, Joe and I headed down to Findlay to photograph Blake and Darcie's big wedding day. We started off with the guys and used a cool barn in the area as a backdrop for their portraits, and then headed over to the bride where we photographed the party in a nice stand of trees that were on the property. Afterwards we headed out to a local park for their outdoor ceremony, and then hit downtown Findlay for their fun formals before heading back to the park for the reception. We had a lot of fun working downtown and exploring the back alleys of Findlay, and we found a lot of great spots that we can use in the future. Andrea and Scott - They Do! - 08.21.10

On August 21st, Joe and I made the long trek up to Plymouth Michigan for Andrea and Scott's wedding. They were married at the Inn at St. Johns, and let me tell you, this venue is just absolutely awesome. From the gorgeous architecture of the chapel, to their phenomenal reception area, this was an eye pleasing location to work with. We dealt with rain for the first half of the day, but thankfully after the ceremony the skies cleared and we had a chance to head outside for the bride and groom shots. In all, it was a very memorable day, and we captured a ton of great images which can be seen right HERE. Below you can check out the slideshow as well as a few of my favorites!

Dana and Craig - 08.19.10

On August 19th, Ben and I made the 4 hour trek down to Athens, Ohio to photograph Dana and Craig's engagement session. The nice thing about long road trips like this is, we usually spend more time than usual scoping out locations. We started off in downtown Athens and worked our way around the University hunting for some cool spots. Afterwards we trekked out more into the hills to finish our session with an awesome sunset. On August 11th, Joe and I headed out to Maumee Bay to photograph Lauren and Eric's engagement session. I have to honestly admit that this is one wedding that we are extremely excited to be a part of, first off, both Lauren and Joe are extremely laid back people who are just an absolute pleasure to work with. Secondly, their reception is being catered by Smokey Bones and Coldstone Creamery..... you know you're jealous. I think I love good food about as much as I love good photography. If you haven't heard by now through our Facebook page, Everlasting Images is working hard to build up our senior portfolio for 2011. After looking at many other photographers in the Toledo area we feel that we have something different to offer the Toledo market. Instead of boring studio based work, we've decided to take it to the streets and utilize our crazy lighting skills to produce some top notch work for you guys.

Emily is the first senior we have photographed, and she did an awesome job posing for us! If you know of anybody who will be graduating in 2011 or 2012, send them our way! Right now the session is completely free, unlimited time, locations, and outfits, as we continue to build up portfolio so we can launch a rocking senior based website. After the shoot you have the option of either purchasing the entire disk, or just picking the prints you want!

On August 7th, Tiffany and Paul said "I Do" in front of a close gathering of family and friends, and were honored to be a part of this special moment. Tiffany was absolutely gorgeous and such a pleasure to work with, and Paul and his groomsmen were a hilarious bunch. We had such a great time working with everybody, and we captured so many great moments that it was hard to narrow them down into a slideshow. Nicole and Joe - Follow Up Session!

I have to admit that I am extremely behind on blogging, and have been most of the summer. However, it is only because we have been so busy photographing so many rocking sessions that it has been difficult staying caught up. Being busy is never a bad thing though, and sometimes it is nice to take a break from all of the editing to get a couple of fresh blog posts up!

On August 6th we met up with Nicole and Joe, who had just freshly returned from their honeymoon in Jamaica! We never had an opportunity to photograph their engagement session, so we opted instead to do a post-shoot for them. We had a great spot picked out for their shoot, and perfect lighting to go along with it. Below are just a few of my favorites, and you can see their whole session online right HERE!

Emily and Craig -- They Do -- 07.31.10

The day after we photographer Lindsay and Brent's wedding; Joe, Ben, and myself made the trek up to Cleveland for Emily and Craig's. Again it was another small and intimate gathering of friends and family, which made the day all the more enjoyable. Their wedding took place in probably one of the largest and darkest cathedrals I have ever been in. This church pushed our gear to its limits, but we got the job done! Afterwards we headed to a park down by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and grabbed some waterfront shots before heading to one of my favorite shooting locations in Cleveland, the underside of a big blue bridge that runs over the Flats which is now a scooby-doo ghost town.(Bonus points if you know what I am referencing.) Afterwards we headed to their reception, which was held in a very nice gourmet bistro. Emily spent a lot of time creating almost every element of the reception, which provided us with plenty of little details to photograph. Lindsay and Brent ~ They Do ~ 07.30.10

There is just something about small intimate weddings that I absolutely love, maybe it's the fact that there are no bridal parties to contend with, or that the bride and groom are just more comfortable in a smaller setting, but regardless of the reasoning, the photos always have something special about them. Joe and I had the luck of getting to photograph two of these small intimate events back to back at the end of July, and it was an absolute blast.

Lindsay and Brent were married at the Manor House in Wildwood, and as luck may have it, their reception was inside the Manor House. This was pretty cool because you're normally not permitted to take any images inside the property, but in this case we were allowed. Prior to the ceremony we actually met up with Lindsay and Brent downtown to do their formal sessions, this cleared the rest of the day for us to just photograph from a photo-journalistic vantage point. Lindsay and Brent were just so great to work with, and extremely laid back, it just made our job that much easier. Kim's Maternity Session! - 07.26.10

Kim wanted us to head up to South Lyon, Michigan to capture some maternity photos, and while we were there we also did some family formals for her sister's families as well. Nicole and Joe - 07.24.10

Wow! What a crazy month it has been! In July we had 5 weddings booked within a 3 week span so we have been absolutely backlogged with the blogging. Now that I have a weekend to recover before we really get into our busy season (16 weddings between now and the end of November) I figured I should get some blogging done!

On July 24th, Joe and I headed down to Waterville, not too far from my own home, to photograph the wedding of Nicole and Joe. Nicole and Joe are a fun couple to work with, and very laid back, which is exactly the type of client that we love working with. We had plenty of time to do some awesome one light work in the church as well, which is becoming one of my favorite places to use dramatic lighting for portraiture. After the ceremony we headed into downtown Waterville for some fun portraits and then finished up at Gladieux Meadows for the reception. It was a really fun day, and we got some great images! Kendra and John's Sexy Engagement Session... 07.19.10

Kendra and John are getting married next summer, but wanted to get their engagement session scheduled as soon as possible. Joe and I headed out to Maumee Bay with the couple to photograph their very awesome, very sexy, engagement photo session. I love to push occasionally push things to the edge, and it worked out extremely well. Jody and Matt - 07.17.09

On July 17th we had our whole team mobilized for Jody and Matt's absolutely awesome big day. Nichole, Joe, and I all headed out to the Polish Village for the ceremony. This area of town is absolutely awesome for photography, with all kinds of architecture and urban decay to work with. We jumped on the opportunity to work a little bit around the small business district before the ceremony kicked off. Afterwards we all headed down to the Navy Bistro and the old steam plant for some more fun shots and finished up out at Cambridge Place for the reception. Besides the fact that Jody and Matt were just easy to photograph, they were also a lot of fun to work with. Kaylie and Josh - 07.16.10

On Friday the 16th, Joe and I headed out to Grand Rapids to photograph the wedding of Kaylie and Josh at Nazareth Hall. Nazareth is one of my favorite places to shoot, because it offers an all in one environment to work with. They have a great mix of architecture and landscape to work with, not to mention that their food is also fantastic. ;) Kaylie and Josh are just awesome, they were nice and laid back and it was great to see some familiar faces since we have worked with Kaylie's family before. I love shooting old barns, and when Emily told me that she wanted us to shoot at an apple orchard out towards Cleveland I was secretly hoping that one would be available. Thankfully we were in luck! On July 6th, Joe and I headed down to Findlay Ohio to shoot an awesome engagement session, involving an sweet classic car, a rustic barn, and a rural airstrip. Suzi and Greg - They Do! 06.26.10

The evening we finished up Jennifer and Nathan's engagement session, Joe and I set off for Columbus to cover Suzi and Greg's wedding in the Old German Village section of the city. We had quite a challenge before us, between temperatures hitting well above 95 degrees, evening thunderstorms, and a camera failure (thank goodness for backup gear) we had to squeeze a lot of photos into a limited amount of time. Thankfully, Joe and I were raring to go and the entire event turned out to be a huge success. Besides shooting in the German Village we also headed downtown to grab some more images in the Arena District, which is one of my favorite areas to shoot in the C-Bus. Their reception was also held at the Smith Brother's venue, which used to be a hardware manufacturing plant, which provided an awesome backdrop to the reception. Nathen and Jennifer - Again! 06.25.10

On June 25th, Joe and I woke up extremely early to photograph Nathen and Jennifer one more time before they headed back down to Tennessee, and it was definitely worth it. We started off at one of my favorite downtown locations, that you may recognize, the big blue corrugated steel door that is relatively close to the former Al Peake and Son's building. For several years I have always wondered what was behind that blue door, and as luck may have it, some construction workers were kind enough to let us inside and snap a few images. Mary Ann and Nick - 06.24.10

Mary Ann and Nick are such an awesome couple to work with, and having the opportunity to shoot a phenomenal engagement session for them was quite a pleasure. I also had an opportunity to take our latest camera, a Canon 5D, out into the field for the first time and get some great portraits with it. We traveled all over the downtown area and finished up at the Amtrak station downtown. We also hung out there long enough so we could get inside and get some great photos in their lobby. Nathen and Jennifer - They Do! 06.19.10

Well first off, I have to admit that I am extremely behind on my blogging this season, but that's mostly because we have been working our tails off this season. With that said, I am going to condense the next few blog posts to expedite the blogging process, so if you do not see a slideshow with your posts, don't panic, I'm just trying to get everything up in a timely fashion! Thankfully, despite being backlogged on blogging our proofing turn around times have remained consistently excellent. So even though you are just seeing our blog posts now, our clients have generally received their digital online proofing within a week of their weddings. So, without further ado, let's get started!

Nathen and Jennifer live in Tennessee, but since Jennifer is originally from Ohio, she chose to have her beautiful ceremony and outdoor reception right here. Nathen is also an excellent photographer, and it was great being able to kick back and talk shop with him throughout the day. Megan and Kevin -- They Do! -- 06.12.10

On June 12th, Joe and I headed down to Grand Rapids Ohio to photograph Megan and Kevin's fabulous summer wedding. Megan looked gorgeous in her wedding gown, and the colors that she chose for the bridal party just added a wonderful flair to the event. After the ceremony we headed into downtown Grand Rapids for some awesome formals, and then finished up our day in Napoleon. April gets Dirty! -- 06.06.10

One of the great things about a Trash the Dress session is that we don't necessarily have to get totally dirty in order to capture some awesome images. Joe and I had been waiting all weekend for some really dramatic skies, and thankfully our patience paid off with the last session of the weekend. April had volunteered for the shoot, and having shot a full on TTD session the night prior, we decided to take a different approach with this one. Instead of getting totally soaked, we wanted to use the landscape and gorgeous skies as a dramatic backdrop for the session and it turned out beautifully. Jeni and David -- 06.06.10

I am still trying to get completely caught up with all of my blogging, so bear with me for a little bit. ;) On June 6th we had the opportunity to shoot some fun engagement photos for Jeni and David. You may recognize David from an earlier shoot we did for the band In Theory last year. Anyways, we really wanted to do a cool urban session and David was awesome enough to bring out his motorcycle for us. We got some great shots from the session and had such a wonderful time working with Jeni and David, and hopefully we'll be able to do so again in the future. Ali and Brandon get dirty! - 06.05.10

We have absolutely wonderful timing when it comes to weather. The story starts out harmlessly enough, we did not have a wedding scheduled for the weekend of June 5th so we decided to just have a fun photo session for the heck of it. We invited Brandon and Ali, who were married last year, to head out to Maumee Bay for a Trash the Dress session. We also brought out Dawn from Marshall Photography as well as Merin and Joe. Merin was also kind enough to document some of the behind the scenes action for us. Unbeknown to us though, a giant storm was rapidly rushing towards us that would eventually drop tornadoes all over Northwest Ohio. All in all the shoot was absolutely awesome, and the threatening sky added a very dramatic backdrop to all of the images we captured. As the shoot wrapped though, the weather rolled in, and Joe and I had a very tense 45 minute drive back to Whitehouse Ohio, which involved literally driving through the heart of the storm, and running over a median. Casey and Justin - 05.29.10

On the 29th, Nichole and I headed back out to Tiffin for Casey and Justin's awesome wedding. Besides having a beautiful church to work with, we also had a chance to swing downtown and grab some cool shots in front of the local theater. Their reception was held at Meadowbrook park, which in and of itself is an awesome venue, but we had a chance to bust out our lighting rig to get some great sunset shots in the woods as well. Casey and Justin were a ton of fun to work with, and we probably could have spent the whole day just photographing them. Crystal and Nathan - 05.22.10

On May 22nd, Nichole and I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony of Crystal and Nate. They were married under the wooden arches at the Toledo Botanical Gardens, and the weather was absolutely perfect. The families on both sides were such a pleasure to work with, and it was a very warm and friendly environment to work in. The reception was held at the Franciscan Center at Lourdes College and provided a beautiful backdrop for photos after the ceremony. On May 20th, Joe and I headed down to Columbus to photograph Suzi and Greg's engagement session. What started out as a stroll through the gorgeous German Village ended up an incredible shoot in downtown Columbus. Suzi and Greg were great sports for us, despite the heat and hustle and bustle of everything going on downtown. Today, Joe and I headed out to Oak Openings to photograph Tiffany and Paul for their engagement session. Joe just recently purchased some awesome lighting equipment, so we decided to take it out on its test run, and all I can say is that the results were phenomenal.

Tiffany and Paul were awesome to work with, they are just one of those couples that knows how to work in front of the camera with minimal direction, and that made the session all the more fun. I am really excited about their upcoming wedding!!

Stephanie and Matthew - 05.08.10

On Saturday the big day had arrived and it was time to photography Stephanie and Matt's beautiful wedding. They were married at St. Patrick's Cathedral in downtown Toledo, and it could not have been a more perfect setting. With it's beautiful architecture, gorgeous lighting, and massive size, it provided a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony. After the ceremony we headed downtown once again to photograph the in-between photos, and finished up at their reception which was held at the Navy Bistro. Stephanie and Matthew - 05.06.10

Well we wrapped up our engagement marathon this week with Stephanie and Matthew, who coincidentally, were also getting married two days later! So you'll be seeing them again very shortly. Having booked us short notice as well as having to travel from Chicago, it was easier to just photograph their engagement when they came into town for the wedding. Christie and Ken - 05.05.10

The day after Nate and Crystal's session we found ourselves once again in Downtown Toledo for Christie and Ken's engagement shoot. This time we started out at 5/3 field, and despite the severe thunderstorm pounding overhead we managed to get some pretty cool shots. Christie and Ken were a ton of fun to work with and are definitely looking forward to their upcoming wedding. A fun fact about Christie is that her sister booked us for her wedding waaaaaaay back in the day, and her sister was even our very first Trash the Dress client! Wow, what a week it has been! We had 3 awesome engagement shoots on the books as well as a wedding to cap off the week, so needless to say we have been extremely busy editing the nights (and I do mean night) away. We'll kick off with Crystal and Nathan who will be getting married this month. We headed into downtown Toledo to photograph in a nice urban environment to contrast with their upcoming outdoor wedding. Andrea and Scott Walk the Runway - 04.30.10

On Friday I made a 2 hour trek up North to photograph an awesome engagement shoot with Andrea and Scott. I absolutely love to approach these sessions from a fashion/editorial perspective, and both Andrea and Scott knew exactly how to make that happen. We started off at a small airfield and got some great images in and around the hangars, and then finished up at Andrea's family farm where we had an absolutely awesome barn to work with. I just loved the contrast of formal clothing against the rugged and textured backdrops that we chose to use for this session. This has to be one of my favorite engagement sessions of all time, and I am extremely excited to be photographing their upcoming August wedding! Valerie and Mike - 04.17.10

This Saturday we had another fantastic wedding to cover! Valerie and Mike were married in Tiffin Ohio and I had the pleasure of shooting it with our teams latest addition, Joseph Herr, as well as Ben. Although it was a little chilly outside, the cloud cover provided from great outdoor shots at one of my favorite Tiffin locations. Both Valerie and Mike were a lot of fun to work with, and we had a great time covering their event. Brittany and James - 03.26.10

On Friday I had the pleasure of photographing an engagement session with Brittany and James. I also had the pleasure of working with one of our newest official team members, Joseph Herr. Although Joseph is a Nikon shooter (I'm not hatin) his style of shooting is almost spot on with mine which makes me very excited! You probably can't even tell the difference between his shots and mine in this set. You'll definitely be seeing him around in the future!

The engagement session was awesome! Brittany managed to get us field access to Mud Hens stadium and we had a great time playing around there. Afterwards we ventured to some of my favorite downtown locations to finish up the shoot. Be sure to check out their pics below or see the whole series right HERE! Julia and Brian - 03.20.10

One of the biggest things that we enjoy doing as a photographer is having the opportunity to work with the families of our previous clients over and over again. As was the case with Julia and Brian! I absolutely love Julia's family, they are so warm and inviting, extremely easy to work with. Julia and Brian's wedding took place in Monroe Michigan, at St. Pauls United Methodist Church, with their reception taking place at LaRoy's Hall just a few minutes from downtown. If there is one thing that I have to say about Julia, it is that she is very detail oriented. I have never seen a hall decorated and coordinated in such a beautiful way. Everything from the centerpieces to the wedding cake had intricate detail within it. Overall it was a beautiful wedding with a warm atmosphere and a family that I feel I could call my own. :) Be sure to check out their slideshow and teasers below, and you can view the whole event right HERE!

It's Been a Long Time!

Well, now that the dark days of winter have passed us by and spring is in the air, we are extremely excited to get the 2010 wedding season underway! As April approaches, I wanted to remind everyone that now is the time to get your engagement sessions scheduled! We have 30 wonderful clients on the books for this year, and I want to personally ensure that everyone gets the highest quality service from us as possible.

I also wanted to share a customer testimonial with everyone from Laura and Thaylin, who we photographed last year. They were an awesome couple to work with, and the venue was incredible. I mean, the Detroit Metro Airport is just so cool to work with. Anyways, here are their kind words:

Planning a wedding from out of town is a difficult process. It's hard to get a good feel for a company if you aren't able to meet face to face. However, after seeing the quality and composition of the images on their website we emailed Everlasting Images. They were incredibly fast to respond and very excited to help us plan the best photo shoot possible for our wedding. Once the big day rolled around, Sam and Nicole arrived early, and quickly set to get shots of all of us getting ready. By the time we met with them they had already scoped out the area and had found surprising places that made full use of the venue. Throughout the entire process we never found them to be intrusive, quite the opposite in fact. They were like photo ninjas jumping around unnoticed, getting pictures from all angles. Even while all of the photos were primarily editorial, they still managed to get the standard family shots as well. Looking back on this day, there's not a single picture that we wish had been taken. Everything was covered and every person that sees the photos are amazed and think they look magazine quality.

We, as well as everyone involved in the wedding, has recommended them to everyone we know getting married. Even here in New York we refer them, letting our friends know that Everlasting Images is well worth every penny to bring them out.

On January 9th we headed down to the Findlay area to cover Adam and Amber's fabulous winter wedding. It was a gorgeous crisp winter day, with a lot of fresh snow on the ground that made a beautiful backdrop for their big day. After the ceremony we headed to the small town of Gilboa for their in between photo shoot which provided us with a lot of great backdrops to use. It was a great day, and once again we had some great vendors to work with including Aaron from Showcase Video and Mike from Decorative Sound. On New Years Eve we photographed our last wedding of 2009 and our first of 2010... all at the same time! It was great to be shooting in Toledo once more, and working with some of our favorite vendors. If anyone is planning a wedding for 2010 or 2011 be sure to look at Decorative Sound if you need a DJ and Showcase Video if you need a videographer, because when we all work together we make an awesome team.

Christina and Kurt were such a wonderful couple to work with, I know I say that about all of my clients but these two were just so wonderful to photograph because they really know how to convey their love for each other in photographs. They were extremely laid back, and I could tell they were just trying to soak in every moment from their big day. We are hunting down some "Beta Testers" for a new service that we plan on implementing in full force for all of our 2011 clients.

We plan on launching individual customized websites for each of our clients, these sites will contain photos of you guys, details about your wedding, a thank you note for your guests, and will look something like this:

These sites are going to rock and we'll be able to do some pretty cool stuff with them as well, like tag you through Facebook directly from the site putting it directly into your feed so all of your friends and family can see and access it. We'll be able to update the galleries with your engagement pictures, link to your proof gallery, host your slideshow, and also post your favorite wedding images, and the best thing is..... it's all going to be free!

But first we need to work out the system kinks and work on the technical aspect of this project, so we need some volunteers to lead the way! If you're booked with us for 2010 and are interested in helping us out just shoot us an e-mail! Over the Thanksgiving Holiday my sister and her boyfriend headed up from Tennessee to spend some time with the family. They requested that I capture some photos of them prior to Christmas so I graciously obliged. I grabbed my brother and my lighting gear and headed into downtown Bellevue to get some pretty cool images, despite the rain and cold weather. Check out my favorites below!

In Theory -11.19.09 - Toledo Band Photographer

When the opportunity came up to photograph In Theory I was extremely excited. The band wrote the theme song for the Toledo Walleyes and recently won Battle of the Bands in Toledo, so these guys are red hot on the local scene. I immediately called in some additional resources though, because I really wanted to create a nice moody shoot for these guys, which meant low light with off camera flash. First I brought in Noelle Schumer from Remembering the Day Photography, she's worked with a lot of bands in the past and has a great knack for posing them together. Secondly I brought in Gregg Hart from Love is Greater Photography, who happens to be a lighting wizard, to help set the mood. Together we had an awesome team assembled and it was really great to change up the pace, work with other photographers, and also work with some very talented individuals on the other side of the lens.

Well now that the end of the season is here, I actually have a chance to work on the back end projects that get put off during the season. I have just finished adding an availability section to the website, you can view it right HERE, it's my goal to turn this into an all in one solution for booking new clients over the web, but for right now it serves its primary purpose.

We've also got new products being added to the lineup for next season, if you're a previous client some of these items have already been added to the shopping cart system and can be viewed under the "custom products" category of your Zenfolio shopping cart.

We're also going to be adding custom websites for our clients, with these sites you'll be able to provide your guests with a central hub for your wedding information, including times, places, where you're registered, and a personal thank you. We'll also be able to post your favorite engagement and wedding photos on the site for you in a personalized gallery. You can view a quick sample I threw together HERE.

On Halloween, Ben and I were on the road, this time down to Findlay Ohio for our last official wedding of the 2009 season. This week we got to spend our day with Ashley and Chad, who were extremely fun and easy to work with. Ashley had some awesome photo locations picked out for us, including an incredible abandoned structure out in the middle of a corn field. Ashley and Chad also chose to see each other before the ceremony, which made the day flow so smoothly that I recommend this option to every bride who might be considering it. Oh what a month that October has been! On the 24th we were on the road to Michigan once more for the wedding of Angie and Paul. October has been one of the busiest months of this wedding season, and it seems like every other week we have been bouncing from Detroit to Toledo to photograph a ton of awesome weddings. On the 17th, Nichole and I were joined by Gregg Hart from Love is Greater photography for the wedding of Sharon and Bruce which took place in Toledo. I have to say that having a third shooter (not to mention someone who is talented as Gregg) along with us was a fantastic experience. We were able to have a photographer everywhere we needed one without having to rush, and that free time allowed is to spend more time focusing on being creative. Sharon and Bruce were an absolute joy to work with, their day ran like clockwork and we had plenty of chances to play around with our technique. It's amazing what you can do with one off camera flash and an empty gymnasium, just take a look at some of the solo bride shots we captured below. After a long season of shooting all around Ohio and Michigan it was nice to spend a weekend back on our home turf, this time we were in Perrysburg for the wedding of Jennifer and Chad. Jenn and Chad are a wonderful laid back couple and we had a great time covering their big day. Their ceremony was at St. Rose while their reception was held at the Caroner Club, in between the ceremony and reception we found some cool local sites for photos including a sweet red wall at Stella's in downtown Perrysburg. Jennifer and Chad also hired an awesome band to entertain their guests, Velvet Jones kept the party going and I highly recommend them! Last Friday, Nichole and I headed out to Levis Commons to photograph the wedding of Erika and Brian. I have to start by saying that the Hilton Garden Inn area of Levis Commons has some pretty cool spots to shoot. We couldn't use the shopping section since they were setting up for a fashion how on Saturday, so I decided that it would be fun to wander down the street a ways and shoot some amazing landscape oriented photos. The colors that Erika picked for the wedding were absolutely perfect when they were paired against the golds and reds of the environment that we chose to use for their photos. This was a great wedding and everyone was extremely easy to work with. You guys will probably remember Aryn and Steve from back in June, at that time Steve had learned that needed a bone marrow transplant to successfully recover from Leukemia. A couple of months after photographing their emotional wedding, Aryn e-mailed me with some fantastic news, that they had found a donor for Steve and that on the 18th of September he would be going into the hospital for his transplant. She also wanted to get an awesome photo session completed so that she could plaster his hospital room with a ton of pictures, and I was more than happy to help her out with that. It was so wonderful to be working with these two again, and they have been and will continue to be an inspiration for me. Lindsay and Ryan - 09.07.09 - Mansfield Wedding Photographer

On September 7th, Nichole and I trekked out to Mansfield Ohio to photograph the wedding of Lindsay and Ryan. A few months back I had the pleasure of shooting their awesome engagement session in an abandoned warehouse in the Sandusky area, so I already knew that these guys were a lot of fun and easy to work with. The crowd did not disappoint! Aside from the beautiful venue and location, the bridal party was a pleasure to work with and both families were very easy going. A lot of planning and details went into this event and it definitely paid off, the whole day was gorgeous. Kelsy and Jeff Get Dirty! - Toledo Trash The Dress

Last weekend Ben and I traveled eastward to photograph Katie and Michael's wedding celebration, and we couldn't have asked for a better day to do it. Bad weather was once again looming in the forecast, but on the big day the sun broke through and we had gorgeous weather to capture some fabulous images for the bride and groom. This week a lot of my favorites turned out to be black and white, which is unusual for me because I absolutely love color images. On August 22nd, Nichole and I trekked up to Michigan once again! This time we were covering the wedding between Carrie and Gareth. When Carrie contacted us she informed us that they were living in the UK and would be getting married in the states. We jumped on the opportunity to photograph this wedding, and it was so awesome to work with the grooms family, most of which are from Ireland. This was a very warm, loving, and classy wedding, and you could tell how much respect and love each family had for each other despite being separated by an ocean. This was just one of those weddings that really touched us as we shared the day with them and it was an honor to be there. Kim Gets Dirty! - Toledo Trash the Dress Photographer

You may recognize Kim from her wedding last month, well we decided it would be great to take her out once again and have some more fun! We headed up to Flint, Mi to a cool historical site called Crossroads Village. They had all kinds of fun places to play, including an entire downtown setup and some awesome vintage rail cars. Amanda Gets Dirty -- AGAIN! -- Toledo Trash the Dress Photographer

Some of you may recognize Amanda from her previous TTD shoot, which we shot this winter in waist deep snow on perhaps the coldest day of the year. This session couldn't have been more the opposite of our last one, shooting on perhaps the hottest day of the year with a heat index around 105 when the session started. We decided that ending the session out at Maumee Bay would be a good call, and jumping in the water never felt so good! We got a ton of jaw-droppingly awesome images, and it was nice to be able to utilize our off camera flash without pressure or time constraints. This Saturday, Ben and I headed up to Ann Arbor to photograph the elegant wedding between Sarah and Nick. We actually thought that we had our first "Rainy Day Guarantee" client with this one, because the rain came down almost the entire day. Thankfully, right after the ceremony the sun poked out and we managed to get to some cool locations before the reception started. It's also kind of cool that this season I've managed to shoot at both OSU and Michigan, but thankfully I am impartial to either college. Being a former BGSU student I'm more of a UT rival ;)

"I'm on a boat!" -- well I was on a boat. ;) Today I had the awesome opportunity of shooting an engagement session -- on a boat! Part two of our double header kicked off with a drive down to Catawba Island to meet up with Kelsy and Jeff as they started their wedding day. This weekend we had a double header, two fantastic weddings back to back. On Friday it was Ben and I traveling out to Tiffin for the wedding of Jamie and Zach. It is so nice when you are working with a really laid back couple, the day just flies by and our creativity really gets a chance to flow, and that is exactly how our day went. On Sunday I made the drive out to Sandusky, OH for an awesome engagement session on the shores of Cedar Point. This was yet another opportunity to me to play around with our new off camera lighting so I jumped at the opportunity to use it.
